This problem occurs only with this MB.
It does not appear on any other computer I have.
a Dell laptop, A Averatec laptop and an Abit AMD motherboard system.
All are running XP-SP2 with all updates.
It will occur on this system under a clean install of XP with nothing
else loaded and no updates.

when I do a search under windoz explorer on a CD or DVD the results
will show the file location to be C:\Documents and
Settings\ruggb\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD
Burning\(path on CD)

Files found in the root folder or internat to .CAB files appear
correctly.

the CD drive is V:

does anyone have a clue????????????????????
