Subject: Another Slow Hard Drive Issue - Ack, I am having a problem. Access to my hard drive is a tad slow. I am running win 2K sp4, on a 1gig hz machine 768meg ram. I have a Maxtor 200gig hard drive on the second IDE channel. It is plugged into a removable tray. I recently went to device.

I'm looking for a DVD +/- R/RW. These two seem to be a pretty good
value. Which one should I get?

Plextor PX-708A

Or perhaps there are others besides those two that you guys would

I'm staring at a 708A that's performed quite admirably for me. I
selected it based on the strength of the tomshardware.com review on
it

I have no regrets with the purchase. I do regret the number of
coasters with it out of my own stupidity trying to make some video
DVD's until I figured out the DVD video file hierchy format. Doh!
