about networking

Sir, I have been facing one problem regarding to Networking subject.
Could you plz give me a best answer for my question that is what is
the difference between MAC and NIC. i hope that you will give a answer
for that question.

A NIC is a piece of hardware, either a Network Interface Card or a
Network Interface Chip.

MAC usually means Media Access Control or, more commonly, the address
used by the low-level MAC to connect to the network. MAC is embedded
within a NIC.
