If you're running an Intel board, like my Abit IC-7, four sticks is better
than two. (See the "memory holy grail" article at <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.anandtech.com" target="_blank">www.anandtech.com</a> for an
explanation.
On an AMD system with an Nvidia chipset, you need two for dual channel, but
there is no additional advantage to having more.
