I am going to format the hard drive on my machine since I put a new ECS
K7VTA3
motherboard in it. There was a motherboard with a Intel BX chipset on it in
the machine. I'm having trouble with Windows 98 on the hard drive and the
Via drivers conflicting with the Intel drivers so that is why I'm starting
all over and formatting and installing Windows 98. Can anyone tell me the
proper steps to take to ensure I install the Via drivers correctly after I
get Windows installed. Should I take all the peripherals out of the
computer first (modem, disable on-board sound from BIOS, disconnect
printer, scanner) just to keep Windows from trying to load a driver before
Via should load its drivers? Should I keep everything hooked to it and once
Windows loads after I cancel out of all the Windows prompts for all the
drivers except for the standard VGA driver then would I place the Via
driver CD in the CD drive and let it load the Via drivers? Will that be the
best route to take? I have never dealt with the Via drivers before so any
help or advice you can give me would be much appreciated.

Yes,That's the recommended way.VIA also recommends the 4in1 v4.35 for
W98 as the newer ones are designed for W2K/XP.

Should I keep everything hooked to it and once
