Yes you're system should do just fine I went from a ati X800 to the
evga 7800GS CO Superclock and couldn't be happier
the one thing I would do is don't use the drivers on the CD when you
get it, I did and would get screen flicker wile scrolling pictures,web
pages, and stuff but after I got the latest latest drivers from the
web site and installed all works just fine now
