For those of you --like me--who fell for the $60 rebate on the KT600

I recently received the bonus $40 rebate for the P4-SY-P4I865PE Plus
Dragon 2 V1.0 motherboard purchased from newegg.com. This took almost
15 months, and I had to resubmit a copy of the paperwork with return
receipt requested. And even then I had to email them to tell them that
I resubmitted the paperwork. The basic $35 rebate took about 8 months,
and I also had to email them to get it.

lol
Well better late than...................... Wink

I had to wait about 9 months to finally get all of my rebate checks back.
It was a nice chunk of money coming back to me so I did pursue it on a
regular basis. Just too many stories like "the check machine broke" or "all
of the rebates need to be grouped together for mailing". HA

I will NOT buy any Soyo products and expect any rebates. So they better
just GIVE me their products. Wink

JMHO (and with a sour taste still in my mouth)
later,
dave

This is why I avoid rebates like the plaque, or is that plague. I
bet I have received maybe 50 percent of all rebates I have mailed in,
and this is all different companies. If it says rebate I turn the page
or go to a good on line company with no rebates.

Yep, and that's why I refuse to shop at TigerDirect anymore. It seems as
though nearly all of their products list a "fake" price. When you first see
the lowball price, you then notice the telltale asterisk next to the
price... and the fine print always says "after mail-in rebate." Well, they
can kiss my @ss, because I will *never* buy a product that has a mail-in
rebate. Rebate scams are a gimmick and a hassle IMHO, and I just won't deal
with them anymore. Just give me the lowest price that you can offer and
still make a profit, and dispense with the #&%*& rebate entirely! >Sad

I just sent unsubscribe notices to Tiger Direct for their local store
and their online one, and I told them to no longer send me their
catalog. I filled out my Soyo rebate properly, sent it to the right
address, and kept in touch with them. This included an exchange where
the made the promise/whatever on 7 December 2005 that I would receive a
check within three weeks. Still no check and no more Tiger Direct.
