I've been trying to upgrade the BIOS on my S2460 (Tiger MP) which is
currently running V1.02j, but can't get the pheonix phash16 utilty to work.

When phlash16 is doing its "check flash memory type(s)" it stops and
reports:

"Part ID not found in table of supported parts"

Its as if phlash16 doesn't recognise the flash BIOS chip type on the
motherboard.

Here's what I have already tried:

1. Various DOS/DR-DOS/Win9x boot disks (all with drivers stripped out and F5
during boot)
2. Bios version 1.0.3, 1.0.4 & 1.0.5
3. An updated copy of Phlash16
4. Using the /Mode=3 switch to phlash16
5. Removing all PCI cards
6. Cold/Warm boots
7. Reset CMOS

I'm at a loss as to how to get this motherboards bios updated, any help
would be appreciated....

Graham

With the CMOS reset, did you cover the jumper pins for the correct period of
time? Or take the battery out, and leave it for a while.

Just a suggestion, probably you have already tried. Just trying to help!
