Hello,
I've an IIYama 19 inches CRT (S901GT VisionMaster 450).
I want replace my old Matrox Millenium G200 by a new video card.
I ask :
- the better display quality possible at 1600x1200*75 Hz resolution
- a noise free card (no fan if possible)
- a price like $100 if possible.
I never use game. I'm using my PC for Office application, web browsing and,
sometime, watch video or DVD. So I don't need a very fast 3D card. All video
card on the market todat have good speed performance for me.
Any idea? All test speack always about 3D speed on game, but don't talk
about video quality, and rarely about noise >> Stay informed about: How found AGP card with good quality display at 1600x1200*.. |

I've been a Matrox fan for years, still use a G400 in my older second
system.
I just replaced my Sapphire ATI 9100 with a ATI 9600PRO AIW (Christmas
present).
An ATI 9100 will give you a least 90% of the 2D quality as the Matrox.
on <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.pricewatch.com" target="_blank">www.pricewatch.com</a> $55 for 64mb, $65 for 128MB
My current ATI 9600PRO AIW is just a touch better with 2D, then my 9100.
Been using an Hitachi CM810 21" monitor, usually run at 1280X1024.

The GPU in the 9200 is a slightly trimmed down version of the one that is in
the 9100.
So the 9100 will be a little bit faster at 3D
