g550, dual monitors

I have two CRT's hooked up to my g550, a 19" Viewsonic G790 and a 15"
no-name that just blew up, and I need to replace it. Due to space
considerations, I'd like to get an LCD

I have heard that if you plug in a flat screen into the 550, it will always
recognize it as the primary monitor, even if you want your analog CRT to be
the main screen ---

Is this true, and if it is, is there a work-around?

Not true, I had a 19" CRT as my main monitor and a 15" LCD as my second for
ages.
