Hello,

I had a ga-7n400pro board which was running a 1GHz athlon. I decided
to upgrade the athlon to a 2GHz one. I took the usual anti static
precautions etc. but since replacing the CPU the board has been dead.
It will not boot; it does not even beep at bios; the screen remains
blank and black.

Has the board died? The CPU and memory etc all work fine in another
board, so I know they are not at fault.

What might have caused it? Static? Damage to a capacitor next to the
heat sink?

Thanks.
