Hi.
Can you recommend me a good and a silent psu for my S2468UGN board.

I have a Matrox Parhelia 128 graphics
2x MP1800 CPUs
1Gig of Kingston ECC/Reg memory
Terratec 6dmx fire soundcard
4x U160 36G 10k HD's
SCSI cdr and a DVD drives

I have a Fortron 460W PSU (FSP460-60PFN) now.

I'm considering to uppgrade the CPU's to two MP2800's
So I'm not sure that my current 460W PSU is enough.

Can you recommend me a good PSU (ATX-GES) and from where to get it (Europe)

Thanks in advance

The problem is that with higher capacity PSUs, they tend to make more noise
that the lower capacity ones. I found this NX-4000 400 Watt Real Silent
Power Supply: <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.nexustek.nl/nx4000.htm" target="_blank">http://www.nexustek.nl/nx4000.htm</a> and from all the reviews
linked to on that page it is VERY quiet and will be better than your
existing one in that regard (and also- surprise, surprise, in most power
related capabilities). I doubt upping the CPUs from 1800s to 2800s will make
much difference in the power required given that the 2800s use an improved
core design. If you compare the power characteristics of the Fortron 460
Watt with this PSU, the Nexus exceeds all except the +12 V rail and then
there's only about 1.5 Amps difference. The Chances are if you leave the
existing PSU in place, it'll test run fine (other than the noise), if you
want a quieter solution the Nexus is worth a look.
