Post subject: Whatever happened to Cherry Keyboards
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>keyboard (more info?)

When my mum's 13 year old Cherry keyboard packed in the other week, I set
about getting a replacement one. I had to admit the Cherry keyboard was
about the most responsive I've ever seen - lovely clicky keys, and better
still no annoying windows key in the way.

I bid on one from Ebay, and in the meantime found one lurking in a Charity
shop for a few quid.

But the one that arrived from Ebay, seeming brand new, has the dratted
annoying windows keys which just serve to reduce the width of the space bar.
But worse, the keys aren't clicky like they ought to be. Luckily the
charity shop one still has the good old clickiness.

So I might as well have bought any old keyboard from the computer fair for a
quid or two!

Shame on you Cherry!

Geoff.
