My original post was about how my KV8 Pro v1.1 board will not enable
ECC on the ram when I am using ECC based RAM I got a pair of Kingston
KVR400X72C3A/512. The mboard and the ram clearly says they support and will
run ECC, but all memory test programs I have tried say it's disabled and in
the BIOS I have no option to enable it. Not that I have had any problems,
but I like to get what I paid for. I thought since Socket 754 was originally
an ECC/Registered memory platform that any support for these features would
be enabled by default.
