Hey all
I just recieved Duron 1.6GHz today. It's based on new core, appelosa or
something.. The serial no says:

DHD1600LV1C T804725200208
MIRGA 0337VPMW mc1999amd

Is this A core (as in MIGRA). What are my options regarding OC and
unlocking.. ?

Thanks in advance...

It's called an Applebred and it's an A core. The week is 37th of 2003. It
may or may not be locked. That date is right on the switch over. So you
will have to test it to find out.

It really looks different compaired to morgan. I mean most of L1 bridges are
missing, only some small "dots". And a lot of laser marked cuts, deep dark
cuts not like on morgan..

Where can i find info about unlocking it?

Like I said. It may not be locked. You will have to try to set a different
multiplier in bios and see if it takes. If not, there is no easy way to
unlock it. Only method I have heard of is to somehow convert it to a mobile
processor and then run some software utility to set the multiplier. I also
heard this does not work on Nforce boards.

Guess I was lucky. This cpu is A-core AND completely unlocked. Too bad my
mobo don't support further multiplier than 12,5X. Atmost i can get it to
1666MHz (12,5 x 133). I tried 135Fsb, but it lockes up in 3dmark2001se.
