I am still having trouble trying to get rid of the 'found new hardware
wizard' for my Powerlook II scanner. So I need to approach this
another way. I want to remove all entries under 'Imaging Devices' in
Device Manager' and start over. They look like this:

Imaging Devices
UMAX PL-II SCSI Scanner Device
UMAX PL-II SCSI Scanner Device
UMAX PL-II SCSI Scanner Device
UMAX PL-II SCSI Scanner Device
UMAX PL-II SCSI Scanner Device
UMAX PL-II SCSI Scanner Device
UMAX PL-II SCSI Scanner Device
UMAX Powerlook II
UMAX Powerlook II

I thought maybe in Safe Mode I could get rid of them. When I try to
do that, I get an error message 'Failed to uninstall the device. The
device may be required to boot up the computer'. I get that whether
in Safe mode or Regular mode.

How can I get rid of 'em?

Thanks

Geezer
