8RDA3+ and Memory - I'm getting ready to build another pc and just bought an Epox 8RDA3+. I read that some memory may not be with it. I want two sticks 512 pc 3200 ddr, but don't want to spend $200 on memory that won't work. Does anyone here know what brand memory..

New 8RDA3+ BIOS ?? - I just the new 7-18 BIOS & it to a floppy. It has multiple One is called (raw carrion)? The last one is Loco. Has anyone actually tried an update with this? It does not look good to me. Z

Hi All,

In an effort to avoid blowing up my new CPU, could someone advise me
on the correct FSB & Multiplier setting for an AMD Athlon XP2800+
Barton. At the moment it is showing up as an AMD 2250mhz processor.

Recently destroyed my XP2700+ so I want to get this right.

Memory is 1.5gig Corsair PX3200 XMS, board say memory speed is 200mhz
(which I understand is correct).

XP2800+ Barton and XP2600+ T'bred run at same speed - the latter has
only half the cache, hence the lower rating. You need the MS 'AMD
processor ID' patch (or if you're looking in the BIOS, maybe a BIOS
upgrade) to get the right identification out of the OS.
