help! asus video drivers freeze system

Hello,
My problem is whenever I try to upgrade Asus video drivers from any
drivers but stock I get system locks and major instability. I tried
upgrading the mobo Bios and video card bios and even installed Win XP
but still get freezes. This system is ROCK SOLID with stock video
drivers. I even have troubles upgrading to Asus Live! I noticed the
driver has "Side band Enabled 2X". Am I missing something in my system
Bios? I have the "Graphics Apature"=128 Any suggestions would be
appreciated. I'm ready to throw this system out the window but I built
it myself.

Custom system specs;
PSU Emmarex 300 watt
mobo Asus P3B-F bios 1008 Beta
CPU PIII 600 EB 133
Video Asus Gforce v6800 32mg Delux TV in/out Bios 210.02.10 can only
use driver 3.68, and only Asus Live 3.51
Direct X tried 7 - 9c
Monitor Viewsonic PT795 w/4 port USB hub
Ram 196 Corsair PC-133 sdram
