Nobody's Perfect/Binary Compatible, in case you are still out there,
in usenet land, I just wanted to say that, in a way, you are getting
what you always wanted. at least sort of. in a few years time you will
see a game console with Real3D technology in it, and there will be
Sega games on this machine.

what do I mean? well it's simple actually!

The next XBox console will have an ATI graphics processor in it. And
ATI has acquired / hired former Lockheed-Martin Real3D engineers, as
well as gotten some of Real3D's patents. (on top of having ArtX/SGI
engineers & patents) There is little doubt that both of these things,
that is, ATI having Real3D patents *and* some of their talented
engineers, will influence the XBox2 graphics processor, in a positive
way. And since Sega makes games for Xbox1, they will also make games
for Xbox2. This is probably the closest you will get to having a
Real3D-based Sega console.

cheers ^_^

some proof to back my first post:

http://www.beyond3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7417&start=20

quote:

"Ohh goodness did ATI get the majority of Real3D engineers. Supporting
evidence: http://www.gameai.com/r3dgames.html .

ATI's Orlando offices is basically composed of the company formerly
known as Real3D. When you combine the engineering assets of ATI's
Marlborough design house, the ArtX design house, a good chunk of
Real3D's team, not to mention the former FireGL team, and less we
forget ATI has snatched up a lot of former staff from Matrox after
they shut down their Toronto offices, I don't don't see any problem
with the number of projects ATI is undertaking"

if you were a believer in Real3D, this is good news indeed.

Still as clueless as ever, I see. Everyone knows I'm Charles
Doane/Charles Miller, while Nobody's Perfect, having failed to garner
any responses for almost a year, changed his name to Blackcomb and
inadvertantly started cloning me (before throwing several hissyfits
after everyone and their mothers reminded him of it). He goes by DGG
now even if his penchant for getting spanked hasn't changed.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Omar.

.....That's interesting since Omar's name also comes up when people think of
the unemployed and perpetually spanked virgins. Go figure.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I guess I forgot to mention that Nobody's Perfect/Blackcomb/DGG/Sybil
also scarfs up even the most obvious bait laid out for him, in exactly
the manner he's instructed to. Angry reply in 3...2...1...<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
