I have a 1GB USB drive with no markings on it. How can I tell if it is
USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 ?

Plug it into a usb 1.1 system and see if it complains. Smile

You may have some luck with a system identification tool such as
Everest.

It is probably USB2.
Copy a large file from it. If it reads or writes at more that 2 MB/sec it is USB2.

Pop it open and take the numbers off the controller chip,
then look up it's specs.

Plug it into a USB2 system and benchmark it. If read &
write arent' substantially above 1.5MB/s, it doesn't really
matter since USB2 is backwards compatible, it could be used
on either 1 or 2.
