Archived from groups: alt>comp>hardware>amd>thunderbird (more info?)

Hi,
I'm using TB as from version 1.0. Every upgrade sofar (I'm now using
1.0.7) went flawlessly! As a Major extention I'm using ENIGMAIL PGP
(0.92 version) for encryption. I'm now encountering problems with the
upgrade to version 1.5.

To be brief: TB1.5 does not install properly on the PC that is running
TB 1.0.7. I Tried seperate directories etc. TB 1.5 starts runnning and
no mail in whatever folder is visible, the button bar does not show at
all and the program appears to be very busy.

When I install the same TB1.5 file on a clean PC (ie no former TB
installation) the package installs itself perfect. Button bar visible etc.

Can someone give my a clue in which direction to look for a solution?

Thanks in advance!

Hans

PS I'm using windows XPSP2, more than enough memory and a ADSL permanent
internet connection

I think you're confused here, this news group is for "thunderbird" the
model of AMD Athlon CPU, the thunderbird you mean is the Linux Email
application.

Go to the mozilla website and download a new install of TB 2.0. Probably
better to uninstal 1,5 prior to doing this.
