Currently I have a laptop and desktop, router, cable modem, and a
4-port ethernet switch. I just got an 8-port DSS-8+. If I want to
share a USB printer or USB scanner between the laptop and desktop, does
it have to be connected to one of the CPUs or can I plug it into the
switch with an appropriate cable and share it that way?

What interesting things can I do with this?
