Is there a way to reverse the action of the f-lock? I would like the f-keys
to be the default, not all that other crap.

Triple posting was not intentional. Outlook Express is having a tantrum!

Yeah, if you're running Win2K or XP, visit my site:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.ben.pope.name/logitech.html" target="_blank">www.ben.pope.name/logitech.html</a>

Been changing my registrar and DNS settings over the last 48 hours or so, so
there may be some transient deadness :-p

Not sure why this group has been so quiet recently.

I have been to your site and downloaded the fix. I applied it, but it didn't
work. Then I realized that it doesn't work with itouch. You wouldn't just
happen to know the itouch registry codes would you? I know some of them
though tinkering around in the registry. I have a good backup of it stored
on a different drive just incase I kill it.

Thanks

Not off hand, never really found a use for the extra functions, kinda
superfluous in my opinion.

If you post it here I'll see if it's worth checking...

Kinda busy with another project right now (it's 2am, can you tell it's being
hassle? :-p), but I'll give it 5 mins to see if it's worth giving it half
an hour...

Just in case anyone else is interested, here are some interesting things I
have come up with while checking the registry for a fix. The following are
key values in the registry that correspond to the special keys.

These registry keys can be found at:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Logitech\iTouch\HardwareInfo\C\KeyboardLayout

These apply to the Logitech access keyboard, model # Y-SR34

For the special keys at the top that are not affected by F-Lock.

1: My Home
2: Email
3: Messenger
4: Search
100: Media
106: Mute
107: Volume up
108: Volume Down
700: User/Sleep (The "moon" button)

Now for those infamous iTouch functions assigned to the function keys.

These are the four in the middle that correspond with F5-F8.

101: Previous track (F5) Non programmable
102: Next track (F6) Non programmable
103: Play/Pause (F7) Non programmable
104: Stop (FCool Non programmable

The others.

400: New (F1) Programmable
401: Reply (F2) Programmable
402: Forward (F3) Programmable
403: Send (F4) Programmable
408: My Com (F9) Programmable
409: My Doc (F10) Programmable
410: My Pic (F11) Programmable
411: My Music (F12) Programmable

There is one other registry key that I have not figured out yet, but as soon
as I get more info on how this thing works, I will post it as a follow up in
this thread. If I figure it out, maybe you could add the info to your
website.

<snip>

Hmm, well it looks like the numbers relating to the keys are arbitrarily
assigned - they're certainly unrelated to the scancodes produced. If you
posted a proper registry snippet I might be able to draw some conclusions or
work out how to remap the keys by hand (since the iTouch software is
somewhat restrictive on what it will allow).

I don't have iTouch installed, so I don't really know what you're on about
:-p
