Hey,

I received my UN-LOCKED XP-2500 week 34, looking to purchase my ASUS
a7n8x-Deluxe motherboard and need some advice on the memory choices. I
know that I will be OC'ing the CPU and want to get the best I can afford,
I don't want to go way overboard with memory but I understand this is a
weak link in the OC'ing arena.

I've been reading and have determined that the PC3200 is the way to go.
I have seen at Newegg the Corsair XMS 256m PC3200-OEM sticks with CAS Lat.
2-3-3-6-T1 with voltage at 2.6V, item number: N82E16820145415 for $58 each.
I'm planning on two sticks.

Not knowing to much about which memory sticks are applicable to my
proposed system. Any comments?

Does it make any difference with OEM versions?

Hi,

yes PC3200 or PC3500 is best. If this is your first time overclocking I
think an ABIT board would be better than the ASUS. To get the max
performance from the memory you may have to run it at 2.7/2.8 vDimm.
