Hello! I have been using the above mentioned motherboard for a little over a
year now with no problems. When I built the system I set it up with 512MB of
PC2100 memory (2 256MB dimms). I recently just ordered a 512MB PC2100 dimm
off of pricewatch (the brand is eNet and it is CAS 2.5). When I put it in
the machine it was fine until I booted into Windows XP. Started getting
memory errors such as the current application has encountered a problem and
must be shut down, as well as BSOD. I thought about it for a second and
thought that maybe I should have put the new 512MB dimm in the first slot,
so I did that and moved the two original 256MB dimms to slots 2 and 3.
Didn't make any difference. I then bought some Kingston Value memory from
Best Buy to see if it made a difference which it did not. Still experiencing
the same issues.

I have the memory settings in the bios as by SPD. I'm running the lastest
bios for the board, which I believe is 3916. I'm also running Windows XP Pro
Service Pack 1 with all the lastest critical updates installed.

Also, I tried starting the UT2004 demo which gave me a out of virtual memory
error, so I changed the amount of VM from 768 (512 x 1.5) to 1536 (1024 x
1.5). That eleminated the VM error when starting the game, but the game
ended up crashing once I started playing with a GPF error.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

To check for compatibility issues with your different RAM has you
tried to remove the original memory and use just the new 512MB module?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
