Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Mainboards have a
maximum number of DRAM device chips they will support.
Double sided modules may cause that number to be
exceeded. That said, if the number of ranks (often called
banks) in the two modules are the same, and all of the
speed specifications (tRAS, tRC, tRP, tRCD, and CAS)
match, the answer is likely yes. Bottom line: call
technical support at <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.crucial.com" target="_blank">www.crucial.com</a> and ask. I've found
Crucial's technical support to be extremely competent.
