Max 20g-7200 ATA133
Max 40g-7200 ATA133

SATA is not important..Firewire would be alright but not used right away..

I like the MSI K7N2 Delta-L at <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.newegg.com" target="_blank">www.newegg.com</a> for $90. It's a basic stable
board. It supports the 400MHz bus, so it has an upgrade future. It only has
one serial port but supports Bluetooth. It uses the nVidia nForce2 chipset.

Without upgrading your CPU to a 333 or 400 FSB, I don't think you'd see a
big performance increase over what you have now. The 2500+ Barton CPU
has a 333MHz FSB and a 512KB L2 Cache. Also $90 at Newegg.

Check the board out here: <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://tinyurl.com/jrgx" target="_blank">http://tinyurl.com/jrgx</a>

I realize that without upgrading the CPU no large increase in performance
will be no noticed...But one step at a time..I am just plain tired of having
bought an ATA133 board that will only run at 50mbs. Performance is what it
is all about and I want to have it as well. I have read good things on that
board and thank anyone who can give input.

Make sure your new board will be compatiable with your current memory.
Nforce boards are picky about what brand of memory you put in them.
Check out Asus, Abit, and Epox too they also have good Nforce boards.
The via KT600 chipset is another option.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
