mouse wheel function

Post subject: mouse wheel function

I don't know if this is realy the right group for this. I have a wheel
mouse but when using it on Excel it sometimes changes to scrolling
left / Right. I need to close Excel down and re-open again. I don't
know of any virus and this only hapens occasionaly.

No. If you click it you get the spot circle that allows you to move
around the page in any direction just by moving the mouse. This is
left / right is by using the wheel only.

It should only scroll side to side if you actually push on the wheel
sideways.

Really, really quite mouse - I'm looking for a mouse, corded or bluetooth, that is silent. No clicks at all. Don't need a high-end one, just stealth.
