Post subject: nForce 4 audio constantly being put in energy saver mode - even when I am using computer
Archived from groups: comp>sys>ibm>pc>hardware>chips (more info?)

I have a Chaintech motherboard with nForce 4 audio chipset built-in to the
motherboard. As subject line states, the computer is "always" putting the
audio into energy saver mode, even when I in the middle of a game of
Warcraft III. Im sure its doing it because I keep the volume low but how can
I prevent the chipset from putting the audio into saver mode for the rest of
my days? I hate this feature. It has brought me nothing but sorrow in my
life. I have placed an "elephant.wav" file on my desktop that I constantly
have to play so I can bring the audio out of sleep mode. This is seriously a
joke. Somebody please help me. Thanks.
