I can give you a personal testimonial. I had an ABIT KT7A mobo using
the VIA chipset (KT133 as I recall. It was buggy. It was stable, but
it had real bugs. You couldn't use a ZIP drive on the secondary IDE
channel. You needed to cut one of the wires on the IDE cables with a
WD drive. Those were two that I recall. Anyway, I've had no problems
with nVidia chipset on the A7N8X-DLX board I have now. That doesn't
mean that the situation won't be different down the road, but it is a
data point to consider.
