PCAnywhere on network

I use PCANYWhere on my local home network using TCPIP.

The network consist of a Linksys router and a hub (now switch).

It worked fine 2 days ago.

1 day ago I replaced my old 10mb hub with a new Linksys 10/100mb Switch.

Now PCANYWHERE cannot "see" my other computers.

Windows (xp) can see the shares fine but it seems to be a tcpip thing...
although I can ping the other machines.

Does anyone know why a Switch instead of a hub would cause this. Symantec
Tech SUpport is costly and slow.

PS.. I tried VNC and it had the same problem

No idea. You can actually map shares successfully, but you can't use any
remote desktop app? Weird.

fwiw, I have a cable modem connected to a router/4-port switch which is
connected to two clients, a WAP, and an 8-port switch - which in turn is
connected to five clients.

Not only can I VNC from anywhere on the LAN to any other node (wired or
wireless) I can reach selected nodes from outside the LAN (ie: I'm forwarding
ports 5901, 5902, 5903, etc).

Something ain't right, but like you I can't fathom what it would be. Just for
yucks, I'd back out the switch and make sure everything still works with the
hub. Then start over.
