i have flashed the bios
I have set the clock to 166mhz
the temperature is corret no overheathing
I have called abit technical support
I have increased the core voltage

but

the system shuts down when I start application like emule or bittorrent
(memory intensive????) the system shuts down as soon as I load the
applications and makes a siren sound. for the rest the system works
fine under windows and using internet cause no problem.

IIRC, I've seen cpu-usage go thru the roof when running such ap'ns--lets
u d/l as well as u/l faster. Somewhere you can regulate the cpu-usage (or
bandwidth?) allocatable to these ap'ns. HTH & good luck, s<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
