Post subject: A normal plug in keyboard.....

Well my sister gave me her compaq pressario...... and Im have a issue with the keyboard port. It seems really loose. I plug in a keyboard and the leds light up for like half a second and in jiggle it around and they light up again.
I took it apart and I dont see any visual damage. then again the mouse and keyboard ports have a metal cover on them......... any help would be appreciated
