I bet it prints in upper case only.

I do not have any links - I don't bookmark that sort of stuff. I
believe I read it on one of the DVD forums a couple months ago, so if
you are really interested you can google for it, keyword "newegg".

Sure... that must have been the problem. A switch in the duplex unit
got stuck causing the printer to report a paper jam has *something* to
do with not using OEM ink? Yet my ip3000 that i've owned longer has no
issues? And the fact that I had to use my old printhead.

They do not list NEC 3540. Their price for Verbatim 16x DVD +/-R discs

Directron is only a few miles from my house, so I go there in person.

THERE ARE MANY REASONS THAT WHAT YOU SAY IS NONSENSE. I WILL POST ONE
OF THEM. I BOUGHT SPEAKERS LAST YEAR. I WENT TO THE SUPPLIERS WEBSITE
AND SAW THE POSTED PRICE. I THEN WENT TO PRICEGRABBER AND LINKED FROM
PRICEGRABBER TO THE SAME SUPPLIERS WEBSITE AND GOT A LOWER PRICE. I
CALLED THE SUPPLIER TO FIND OUT WHY THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. THEY TOLD ME
THAT WHEN USING PRICE COMPARISONS SITES THEY WILL HAVE SPECIAL PRICES
FOR THE COMPARISONS SITES CUSTOMERS. THEY SAID THIS IS COMMON IN THE
INDUSTRY.

SO ALWAYS CHECK A NUMBER OF PRICE COMPARISON SITES. YOU MAY FIND
DIFFERENT PRICES FROM THE SAME VENDOR ON DIFFERENT SITES.

NO NO

I TYPE IN UPPERCASE BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT MY KEYBOARD DOES BUT WHEN I
PRINT OUT WHAT I TYPE IT COMES OUT IN LOWERCASE. THAT IS BECAUSE THE
PRINTER SOFTWARE RECOGNIZES THAT I AM SMART ENOUGH TO USE OEM INK AND
PRINTING IN LOWER CASE USES LESS INK.

Dude, that was you... remember you tested the ip6600D in your lab for 6
months with epson pigmented inks According to you... it was your
intent to sabotage the test so the ip4000 would look better.

TCP/IP for a sinclair? That's impressive. But that's no excuse...
even the ZX had two shift keys.

Again I thank G_d this idiot knows nothing about advertising, marketing
or for that matter ink, paper or printers and continues to shout and use
all caps in his daily diatribes. That means that fewer and fewer people
read his moronic lies. He has painted himself into a corner using paint
that will never dry. He's stuck in that corner and stuck-on-stupid.
Good for him as he belongs there.
