Here's the question, is overclocking really worth it? Do the added frame
rates per second really improve performance that much?
Now I haven't gotten into this yet but wonder if it's worth invalidating my
warranty.
I've got a BFG 6600GT.

This has been asked and answered before. Google for it.

A subjective question that can only be answered truthfully by the person
doing the overclocking.

If you can't afford to void the warranty, don't. Buy a faster card with a
warranty and sell your old on to help cover the expense.
