Post subject: p4p800 se RAID problem
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>asus (more info?)

I just got the se board used. It came with 1 WD 120GB SATA drive. It has a
bare XP install I want to format. I read on Intel's IAA manual for RAID
Migration I can set up RAID on one drive for now, and add another drive
later. So I went to BIOS as you would, enabled RAID and the RAID Rom,
rebooted, didn't get the RAID prompt for Ctrl-I. I unplugged the PC, tried
again no go. I have the BIOS update 1005.

Is having XP on this drive preventing RAID setup? I can't see that. Other
than that, I am at a loss unless I need 2 SATA drives plugged in...for which
no local PC store has an OEM WD 120 in stock at the moment.

Thanks
