Just got a Kodak DX6490 camera.
How do I add it to Paint Shop Pro 7.4 so that I can download my pictures
directly into PSP?

I was able to select my old camera, but can't find a setting for the new
one.

Please and thank you--

Jasc's Paint Shop Pro no longer supports each and every camera make and model.
Plug your camera's USB cable into the computer, and turn the camera on.
In PSP, click on Open, and in the browser window, scroll down to the drive
that identifies your Kodak camera. Mine is "H:/", or more precisely,
"DX3600 Zoom Digital Camera (HSmile". Browse the camera drive, open the
pictures you want, or copy and paste the images to wherever you want them.
The camera drive will also show up in Windows Explorer, and you can do
whatever you want from there.

Greetings Firebrick,

Congrats on the camera. Nice Buy, I have one and enjoy it. The software
that comes with the camera allows for just the installation of the CCS or
Camera Connection Software without the EasyShare program. EasyShare is a
great way to get the images into your computer, but if you want to use
another program, i.e. PaintShop Pro, you can simply transfer the images to
whatever location you like. With the CCS installed, the camera should show
up as another logical drive so you can open the camera, select the images,
and drag and drop them wherever you want them on your system.

I personally prefer the EasyShare system as with one touch, I can get my
images into my computer and viewed immediately. Besides, the program
includes special One Touch printing to maximize print quality on any inkjet
printer.

Talk to you soon, Firebrick,

Ron Baird
