Greetings Firebrick,
Congrats on the camera. Nice Buy, I have one and enjoy it. The software
that comes with the camera allows for just the installation of the CCS or
Camera Connection Software without the EasyShare program. EasyShare is a
great way to get the images into your computer, but if you want to use
another program, i.e. PaintShop Pro, you can simply transfer the images to
whatever location you like. With the CCS installed, the camera should show
up as another logical drive so you can open the camera, select the images,
and drag and drop them wherever you want them on your system.
I personally prefer the EasyShare system as with one touch, I can get my
images into my computer and viewed immediately. Besides, the program
includes special One Touch printing to maximize print quality on any inkjet
printer.
Talk to you soon, Firebrick,
Ron Baird
