I have a TDK 4X DVD+RW drive in my 1Ghz Pentium III running Windows
2000 with a NVidia GeForce2 Pro video card and I'm having difficulties
playing a DVD on the computer.

The error I get within the Roxio DVDMax player is:

--------------------
Error Code F4D41436
The TV out port of your dispaly card is not working properly.

The copy protected disc cannot be played when the TV out function is
enabled?
--------------------

I can't find twhere in my settings to disable this function. I do have
a TV encoder on the board, but you have to switch it to TV mode, which
i haven't.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Warren

Are you using the latest nVidia drivers? If so, try rolling them back a
few revisions. Recent drivers block DVD on boards with TV-out and no
Macrovision chip regardless of whether or not the TV-out is enabled.

Try PowerDVD with hardware acceleration turned _off_. If DVDMax has the
ability to turn off hardware acceleration it might be able to run in
that mode as well.
