I have an MSI 6350 or something like that and a 2600/333 xp chip not sure
which bios revision.. but definitely earlier one for this board.
I have meaning to ask this question for a bit now. I installed my XP Pro
on to a clean, wiped drive by booting from my legit XP Pro disk. I have a
52x burner. This is the first time I have installed XP pro with this new
burner. After everything was finished, it wouldn't recognize the burner as
a device. weird. It said I had to load a driver ???? As far as I can
remember back there has never been a need for a driver for a cd atapi device
other than what the OP Sys has supplied.
now i thought I heard something weird about MSI dinking up something bios
related to do with this ? My HP always seemed to work... and a 48x I had
did.
or might this be a Win XP issue that is solved when I upgrade to SP1 ?
I installed my Nero from the HD and then it was ok..
>> Stay informed about: quesstion : New XP Pro install doesn't recognize my 52x cd..
