Sorry if this is a repost but it isn't showing up for me in either BellSouth
newsgroups or Giganews

All other things being equal, would a EVGA 256-P2-N584 GF7900GT KO(500MHZ)
out perform 2 6800GT's in SLI even on a game configured for SLI?

I've got a buddy that has an SLI config and one of the cards has died and
he's trying to decide if he should take the cheap route and get another
6800GT or spend a little more and upgrade to the 790GT KO

Don't quote me on this but I think a single 7900GTX equals (even in SLI
enabled games) 2 x 6800GT's and a single 7900GT (not heard of the KO
moniker) may be slightly slower. One advantage of a single 7900 would be
reduced power consumption (though your mates probably got a decent PSU). Oh
and I'm not sure about the US but here in the UK I can't find a retail/new
6800GT anymore.
