I'd recommend anything with the nForce 2 chipset.. the Asus A7N8X Deluxe is
pretty good, I've got a 3200+ XP in mine and it runs very nicely Smile

I can assure you my A7N8X Deluxe is running at 400 FSB!
The new 2.0 PCB (i.e. the one on sale now) fully supports the 3200+

'Starting from PCB version 2.0, The A7N8X Deluxe motherboard supports Front
Side Bus (FSB) 400. The users of PCB 1.06 or earlier version can update
their motherboard BIOS to get FSB 400 support.'

As I said before, it runs very nicely Razz

Recommend a particular external USB 2.0 housing? - Can anyone recommend an external USB enclosure that permits a 5.25" device and has external access (ie. for CD-ROM's or IDE swap-trays)? I'd prefer a unit that does not require 3rd party drivers and will instead work with XP's built-in USBSTOR.SYS....

Which mobo to buy - I know i'll probably get killed in post if i ask this, but in you all's opinion, what is a good motherboard to buy to make a nice gaming computer thats not over kill, but a great board. I dont have any Intel, or AMD preference.

New MOBO/CPU/MEM Combo? - I would like to upgrade my MOBO. Which means memory and cpu would be upgraded too. I would like to keep current HD, Vid Card, HD, etc. Right now I have a PIII 1000Mhz, 512 MB Ram What's a good priced MOBO to look after right now? I don't want to..

Old Mobo Recommendation? - Is there any board out there that support PC100 ECC Ram, Slot 1 PIII-1000 100FSB and has an AGP slot that might support an ATI Radeon 9600? While I can't do an whole new computer, I would like to atleast improve my gaming FPS. THANKS

Will changing CPU or mobo mess up XP installation - I have an AMD Athlon 1700+ on an ECS K7S5A motherboard running Windows XP Pro. The K7S5A has the SiS 735 chipset. It is maxed at 1GB of RAM. I would like to speed this machine up without having to re-install Windows. I am thinking about upgrading CPU...
