My setup:
WRT54G Router
Firmware Version v4.30.5, Apr. 27, 2006
Bell Sympatico DSL
PC with hardline to Router
Laptop with wireless connection

A couple times a night, no matter whether the laptop or the PC is being
used, I will lose connection to the internet.

Normally, the Link/Act is blinking, the Full/Coll light is solid green and
the 100 light is solid orange/yellow. When I lose connection, the Link/Act
light goes solid. If I wait for 3 or 4 minutes, it will usually regain the
connection, although occasionally it takes a while longer.

I have tried cloning my computers MAC address, but that didn't seem to help
either.

So now it looks like I am in the market for a new router that can handle
both wired and wireless.

Any suggestions

I have a similar problem with my WRT54G. Last time I spoke with Cox.net
customer service (regarding an unrelated issue), the CSR told me they ae
noticing a lot of calls with dropped connections. They have found that
a very common denominator is a Vonage adapter plugged into a Linksys
router.

That is the case for me as well. Maybe something to consider.
