i have a sanyo vpc-t700, Ok I bought it for my daughter, I sent it away for
repair and it came back without the battery. I live in the UK, I sent it to
Singapore for the repair and I'm not having much luck with my emails to the
repair company. The repair company has said it is a Sanyo BYD DS5370
battery. I have tried to source one in the UK without much luck. Is there
an equivalent ? Someone has mentioned the Olympus LI-42B to me a possible.

Thanks in advance

Stay on the repair company!

If you sent in your camera with the batteries, they owe you the batteries.

The only way you should have to pay for batteries, is if the batteries were
defective.
