I have an AMD Athlon XP 3200+, and I have read on the AMD website that it
can take up to 80C temperature wise. However I know that this is far from
where you would want your cpu to be. I have had alot of problems with
cooling: First I used the stock fan/heatsink and it was running at around
60C. Now I have a Thermaltake Volcano powered fan with Artic Silver 5, and
my CPU runs around 55C without A/C in the house. I also have two 80mm fans,
one in front and another in back. I live in AZ so it gets pretty hot, and
it's only going to get hotter. My question is, at what temperature will the
CPU start to show signs of instability? I.E. when should I start worrying?
Is 60C too much? this is the highest it's ever gotten. Any advice is
appreciated.

i guess all you can do is make sure you have plenty intake air via fans from
front of case and exhaust out the back, a sidewindow fan would help, also
thermal compound of some type (arctic silver?) between your heatsink
(preferrably copper based) and cpu would be a good idea if you havent done
so already.
