I'm looking to duplicate 35mm slides as .jpg files without using a flatbed
scanner.

Is there a product that attaches to a digital camera allowing the user to
insert a 35mm transparency then shoot the image to be saved as a .jpg file?

Thanking all in advance.

Same thing that you'd use for slides to video.
They're about $35. Check a local camera store or B&H<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I called B and H and was told that Minolta made a film scanner for about
$279.00.

The tab is a bit more than I was looking to spend.

If you know of any film scanners that are under $100.00 please advise.
Thank you.

Depends on the digital camera. There are slide copiers made for 35mm
cameras, usually designed to fit on an adapter ring around the lens.
Basically they consist of some sort of holder for the slide and a lens
assembly. Some of them don't have a lens, but provide a bellows mount for
the camera lens so you can move it out and focus closer; that kind won't
help on a digital unless you have one that takes name-brand
interchangeable lenses. But If your digital has a lens that the all-in-one
duplicator can attach to, look on eBay.

If your camera has macro focusing ability, just lay the slide on a light
box, or set it up somehow in front of a sheet of white paper. Mount the
camera on a tripod and focus in close on the slide, and you're there.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

That's a -film scanner-. You asked about a device for your digital
camera!

Obviously B&H doesn't remember the devices. They look like a cube -
projector in one side, camera at 90*. Uses a front silvered mirroe and
a columnating lens to achieve flat field focus.

There's also just a 'rear screen' system.

There were a whole bunch of these little units in the 80's and early
90's a people got camcorders.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

There use to be others for 35mm cameras.
