Hi,

I just purchased the 7300gt graphic card for $100. The problem is at a
resolution of 1280x960 for most games, the frame rate slows down, the
games are still playable though. Can anyone tell me if you experience
the same thing or is it a card defect or a driver problem or
something.
Is this typical for all graphic cards in this price range?

Thanks

Joel

Nope, no defect. The card just lacks the horsepower to run modern games
smoothly. The 7300 is the bottom-feeder in the 7-series line, after all.

Used graphics cards on eBay in the $100 price range can be quite powerful.
Think 7800GT. New cards in the $100 price range usually perform as poorly as
yours.

Yes, that problem exists with the lower powered video cards in that lower
price range.

Slow Frame Rates - 8800 GTS - Just installed an 8800 GTS (BFG Tech card) in a PC with Athalon 64x2 and 2 GB RAM. This was to replace the onboard NVidia 6150 LE chipset for better performance with MS Flight Sim X. Frame rates have improved (about 15), but not to the point others....

overclocking and frame rates - Here's the question, is overclocking really worth it? Do the added frame rates per second really improve performance that much? Now I haven't gotten into this yet but wonder if it's worth invalidating my warranty. I've got a BFG 6600GT.

GeForce 7300GT vs GeForce 6150 video - I've got a computer with nVidia 6150 onboard video. I need a little faster video response to play Flight Simulator 2004 with the better quality video settings. I have a large LCD monitor and want to use it at its native resolution of 1400 X 1050. ..
