This will be the first time I've built a computer. I would appreciate help.

For:
Web development (e.g., come graphics work, flashMX-based applications) and
storage for MP3s on a local network. It will also be my primary computer.
I'm hoping to keep the machine quiet. Oh yeah, some gaming, but I don't need
top-of-the-line here. No overclocking.

Current Choices:
- SN45G
- Athlon XP 2700+
- 512MB DDR PC3200 (from crucial.com)
- DiamondMax Plus9 - 160GB (SATA, Ultra ATA/133, 7200 RPM)
- Samsung SM-352B Combo Drive
- Radeon 9600 Pro AGP 128MB DDR w/ TV-Out & DVI
- OS = Windows XP Pro

Questions:
- I'm concerned about the memory. Not the amount but what kind I get. I was
advised to use the crucial.com tool. Would the choice listed above be good?
- Is there anything listed here that wouldn't fit? Are there drives or video
cards that are smaller?

Any freeform advice is welcome. Including where to buy for good deals (US
dealers)

Thanks in advance,
Clay

Clay,
Why waste money on an XP2700 when you may as well get the XP2500+ and
overclock it to an XP3200+ ?

Sounds fine to me (my rig here:

Question: Why XP Pro?

Since you are getting the SN45G2 with external graphics, you should
have a good chance of finding memory that works. But just in case,
make sure you buy from a store with a good return policy.

I have seen pictures of someone with 4 x 2.5" drives in a RAID config
in a SFF.
Radeon 9600 is the perfect choice. See if you can get a card with a
big, nice, passive and quiet Zalman cooler.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
