Hello, hope you guys can help.
I installed a Lite-On DVDRW saturday, all seemed well
on sunday nite, tried playing a DVD Movie thru Windows media player 9
Got a blue screen......
rebooted,my 2.8 proc. was listed as 2.4, i believe.
got that fixed by adjusting the FSB..ok
now , everything works except my sound( AC97 built onto my ABit it7-max 2
ver 2 motherboard.)
Tried reinstalling the sound drivers, no go.
deleted Advance AC97 from control panel-add/remove prog. no go
Does anyone have any advice to give me???
System Specs:
Abit it7-Max 2 ver 2 motherboard, onboard sound,onboard lan,usb 2
proc...pentium 4 2.8 gig o/c to 3.15
corsair memory 512 meg
windows xp Sp1
lite on CDRW
lite on DVDRW
haven't tried the writers since this crash.Hope they still work.
Again, Thanks for any help
Dan

Or are you going to use the digital out instead? Through the IDE cable I
mean.

As your CPU speed got altered for some reason, did your onboard sound get
turned off in BIOS as well?
