Which game is it? There are a couple newer games that require updated
video and sound drivers. Make sure you have the current ones. I ran into
this problem with Half Life 2 as well as Call of Duty. At the time I was
trying to play Call of Duty I had a Radeon 9600. I updated video and
sound drivers and the game stopped crashing. With Half Life 2 I was
running a Radeon 9800 Pro which is currently in my system. Also
defragging the hard drive stopped the stuttering in HL2. I know you
