Hi,

I'm just wondering which version of Award Winflash is the best and
most up to date to flash Shuttle motherboards under Windows.

I have an FN41 motherboard (the one inside the SN41G2 SFF) and the
only Winflash version available from Shuttle seems to be 1.0.0.1 (from
ftp://ftp.shuttle.com/BIOS/utility/winflash.zip ).

What do you use?

Regards,
Poulpy.

Well,

after some reading here and there about the dangers of using Winflash,
I think I'll stay away from any version and continue to flash from DOS
using bootable CDs (I don't have any floppy).

Too weird they did not manage to develop a reliable solution to flash
the BIOS in Windows, just like Asus do with their LiveUpdate.

The latest version of Winflash is 1.51 I have used it to flash the bios on
15-20 SN41G2's a number of times with a 100% success rate. If you want email
me and I'll send you the version that I use, plus the latest FN41 bios
(S022 - for the SN41G2)

I already flashed my SN41G2 to S022 using the good old method.
I have a copy of Award Winflash 1.51.

Thanks anyway Wink

Poulpy.
